Over the past decade, water quality issue has caused a series of problems such as the corrosion on boiler, tube burst, turbine salt accumulation and generator corrosion and sediment. Four kinds of tube burst are listed here: First, condenser leaking will cause boiler erosion and tube burst; Second, inappropriate installation will result in bad water quality and tube burst; Third, drawbacks of steam separator on boiler drum will arouse the salt accumulation on super-heater and eventually cause tube burst; Fourth, improper pickling will cause the tube burst of the super-heater and inappropriate equipment lay-up protection will cause the erosion of tubes. Focusing on the problems mentioned above, our engineer team have put forward corresponding solutions such as the new monitor standard on water quality in cooling water system in the generator, effective measures on preventing corrosion and sediment and some cleaning programs. All the proposals supply valuable reference in engineering and they are practical in technical guidance.
