PLN’s subsidiary plans to build coal fired power plant in Banten

PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB), a subsidiary of state utility company PT PLN, plans to develop a coal-fired power plant in Serang, Banten in the western tip of Java Island, with capacity of 2 x 1000 megawatt (MW) or 2,000 MW.

Director for Human Resources and Administration of PJB Trilaksiko Sunu was quoted by detik.com that the power plant’s total cost is estimated to reach US$2 billion or around Rp 26 trillion.
