Japan Mitsubishi will participate in the large-scale power plant project in Dawei economic zone in south of Myanmar, and plans to jointly invest with Thai companies to construct and operate the thermal power station with maximum output power up to 7 million kilowatts , equivalent to the generating capacity of 7 reactors of nuclear power station. The total investment may reach 1 trillion yen. The two governments of Myanmar and Thailand, plan to develop and build a global leading waterfront industrial zone in Dawei.
