Hawkins strengthens offshore drive, securing two geo-thermal power projects in Indonesia
As leaders in construction and infrastructure projects in New Zealand, in 2014 Hawkins’ international business embarked on an offshore strategy to transfer the knowledge and expertise they have built in New Zealand to developing countries around the world. Experienced team members’ specialist skills and knowledge are being successfully transferred to support developing communities in Papua New Guinea, Fiji and now Indonesia.
Lumut Balai and Karaha geothermal power stations, owned by state-owned Pertamina Geothermal Energy, are the latest projects to be secured by the Hawkins team, in joint venture with Indonesian partner Banguan Cipta Kontractor (BCK) to deliver the projects.
