Basic electronics are capacitors, resistors, diodes, transistors, integrated circuits, potentiometers, LEDs, switches, batteries, breadboards and wire. Together, one can use these components to create a host of electronic devices by manipulating electricity.
A circuit is one of the most basic forms of electronics. A very basic circuit consists of a battery, an LED light, a toggle switch and a resistor. Put together, the basic circuit allows a person to turn on and off an LED with the switch. With a single LED bulb, one can manipulate an LED bulb to turn different colors using a graphical resistance calculator. Circuits can be complicated, and even in the basic LED design, the LED needs to be plugged in a certain order for the switch to work. All of this should be done on a breadboard, which connects the wires to one another so that the electricity can safely transmit from one side of the board to another. To be more complicated, you can add in multiple resistors, capacitors, speakers, larger batteries and much more to create much more complicated basic electronics that allow you to manipulate not only light, but also allow you to control and manipulate sound as well.
