1. The steam drum water level is lower than the normal water level. In serious condition, the water level cannot be shown in the water level gauge. 

2. The water level gauge alarms for low water level. 

3. The superheater steam temperature rises; 

4. The water supply flow is abnormal and is smaller than the steam flow( except serious leakage from the heating surface).
