1.close the circulating water pump inlet, and turn off the outlet hydraulic butterfly valve, and drain the water in the suction sump. connect the electric and thermodynamic engineer to remove the power line and related test points. remove the cooling water pipe joint connecting to electric motor.
2.fix the rotor with jack under the pump, remove bolt coupling connecting electric motor and pump.
3.remove the joint bolt and locating pin connecting the support and the electric motor, and hoist out the electric motor and put it on the specified support.
4.remove the end cover bolt, and hoist out the end cover.
5.remove the cooling water pipe joint of oil cooler, and hoist out the oil cooler, and do the clean work and check the leakage.
6.connect the thermodynamic engineer to remove the guide bearing and temperature measure element of the thrust bearing pad, loosen the guide bearing and regulate the bolt and nut, and rotate the guide bearing bolt to move the guide bearing out.
7.Remove retaining snap ring on the thrust head , and use special tools to pull the thrust head out.
8.Clean and inspect the thrust segment and thrust head for evidence of flaw such as cracks, wear , scratching and shoe-dropping.
9.Test the thrust head for circumference and horizontal flutter scope.
