1. Check whether the bearings of the unit are normal or not and the outlet oil temperature of oil cooler shall not be below 25 ℃.

2. Rotate the hand wheel of the regulator starting valve, open the regulating steam valve and pay attention to that the hand wheel of the starting valve shall be opened fully.

3. Slowly open the main steam valve and immediately close it after the rotor is impulse. Keep the rotor running at a certain speed, check whether the flow passage, shaft seal and main oil pump etc.. have abnormal sound or not. When the rotating speed exceeds the barring speed, the gear of the barring gear is disconnected, the motor stalls and the handle is locked.

4. After everything is normal, keep the rotating speed at 300 ~ 500 r/min. Warm up the steam turbine for 20 ~ 30 minutes, pay attention to the bearing temperature -rise of the bearing and the expansion and vibration of each part.

5. In the process of warming-up, the condenser vacuum is kept at 0.05 ~ 0.07 MPa (375 ~ 525 MMHG).

6. When the oil temperature at bearing inlet is higher than 45 ~ 50 ℃, put the oil-cooler into use. The outlet oil temperature of oil cooler is kept at 35 ~ 45 ℃.

7. After the steam turbine is warmed up at low speed, if it is confirmed that everything of the steam turbine is normal, it is possible to gradually open the main steam valve to increase the rotating speed to 1000 ~ 1200 r/min, and keep it for 40 ~ 60 minutes, then recheck:  

(1) The oil temperature, oil pressure, oil tank oil level. 

(2) The temperature of the bearings and oil return.

(3) The working condition of the electric oil pump or turbine oil pump. 

(4) The expansion of various parts of the steam turbine. 

(5) The temperature difference of the upper half cylinder and lower half cylinder shall not exceed 50 ℃. 

8. After everything is normal, the unit may cross the critical rotating speed quickly and smoothly ( as for the flexible rotor), and then its speed will rise at 300 r/min. After the regulator begins to act, fully open the main steam valve (after the steam valve has been fully opened, turn off the main steam valve for half a circle), operate the synchronizer and adjust its rotating speed to the rated speed.
