In order to take a representative of transformer oil, turbine oil, and other oil samples, the sampling for the running equipment and storage equipment is specified as follows:
Sampling bottles generally is 500 ~ 500 ml  glass bottles with ground stopper and shall  meet the following requirements:
1. The sampling bottles shall be firstly  cleaned with detergent adequately, then rinsed with tap water, and then shall be rinsed with deionized water (or distilled water), after they are dried in the 105 ℃ oven dry , then they are cooled and covered with bottle stopper for standby use.
2. The sampling bottles shall be able to meet the requirements of storage, if they are containers without covers or  transparent glass bottles, they will be not suitable for storage and brown glass bottle with ground stopper shall be used.
3.  As for the fresh oil acceptance or imported sample of fresh oil, generally the samples of double shares above shall be taken. In addition to the amount needed for the test, the  sample of one share above shall be stored for review or arbitration.
4. Each sample shall have the right tag, generally before sampling, the printed labels shall be pasted on the sample container, the label shall include at least the following contents:
(1) Company names
(2) Serial number of the unit
(3) Steam turbine oil brand
(4) Sampling part
(5) Sampling date.
(6) The sampling person’s signature
After sampling, the label contents shall be filled timely and clearly.
