The general precautions for adjusting the safety valve of boiler:
1. After installation and overhaul, and after the safety valve is missed, for the boiler that has been operated for more than three months continuously, its safety valve must be verified.
2. When the safety valve is adjusted, the chief engineer, the department manager; the boiler operation, maintenance and safety as well as supervision persons in charge shall be present.
3.The maintenance persons shall be responsible for adjusting the safety valve and the operating persons shall cooperate.
4. When the safety valve is adjusted, the measures against misoperation shall be available.
5. When the safety valve is adjusted, the water feed volume shall be adjusted in time to maintain normal water level of the boiler drum. Pay attention to monitoring the superheated steam temperature.
6. The adjusting to the safety valve will be subject to the indication of local pressure gauge. When necessary, the pressure gauge with accuracy of level 0.5 above shall be used.
7. The safety valves shall be adjusted one by one, and according to pressure from the high to the low in turn. The working safety valve of boiler drum shall be adjusted firstly then the control safety valve of boiler drum shall be adjusted, at last the control safety valve on the steam header shall be adjusted.
8. After the safety valve has been adjusted, the acting test shall be carried out. If the boiler pressure exceeds the acting pressure, but the safety valve does not act, the air bleeding valve of main steam header shall be opened immediately to reduce the steam pressure to normal pressure. After the test is stopped, then the pressure shall be adjusted again.
9. After the safety valve has been adjusted, the protective cover shall be installed and the copper seal shall be sealed and the measures against misoperation shall be removed.
10. Remove the setting test results of the safety valve in the record notebook, then the persons participating in the test shall sign and confirm the test results.
