1. The air volume meter, pressure gauge and differential pressure gauge related with test must be complete and in good condition. 

2. Prepare enough bed materials for testing, the bed material generally are the big slag discharged from the bottom of boiler. The particle size of the bed material is required to be the same with that of thus fuel for normal operation approximately. 

3. Check and clean the air hood and prevent the it from blocking; check whether the air hood and air distribution connection are tight and firm. 

4. Prepare various forms and papers etc. for test.
