Operation of Shutdown of C3-3.43/0.49 Steam Turbine Unit

1. Before the load is reduced, the relevant departments shall be notified to make preparation. 

2. The auxiliary oil pumps shall be tested. 

3. The valve rod of the main steam valve shall be checked for jamming phenomenon. 

4. The load shall be turned down. If the extraction turbine is put into use, the regulator for the extraction turbine shall be cut off firstly. 

(1) Gradually close the electric isolation valves on the steam extraction pipeline, at the same time rotate the hand wheel on the regulator of steam extraction to reduce the pressure of the extraction steam chamber.

(2) After the isolation valve is turned off, close the extraction with solenoid valve. 

(3) Slowly rotate the switch handle of the voltage regulator to cut off the voltage regulator. At this time the load on the synchronizer shall not be less than 25%. 

(4) Close the steam valve on the signal pipeline of the voltage regulator. 

5. When the load is turned down, attention shall be paid to the expansion and vibration of the unit at any moment. 

6. With the load turning down, stop the low-pressure heater and close the steam valve on the secondary extraction steam pipeline. 

7. Close the balance valve of the shaft seal to the deaerator and the regulating valve of the shaft seam steam, slightly open the steam induction valve of shaft seal.

8. Pay attention to adjusting the valve on the recirculation pipeline, turn down the condensation water valve to the dearator to maintain normal water level of hot well. 

9. Pay attention to checking whether the steam regulating valve is jammed or not, if the steam regulating valve is stuck and cannot be eliminated in the running, the main valve or the isolation valve shall be gradually closed to reduce the load and shut down the steam turbine. 

10. When the electrical load is reduced to "0", the signal of "disconnection" is given, the switch will trip to close the main steam valve. The hand wheel of the operating seat of the main steam valve shall be shut off and the main steam valve shall be checked for whether it is closed tightly. 

11. Open the pneumatic oil pump to maintain normal lubricating oil pressure. 

12. Close the air valve  and steam valve of the steam injection ejector of two stages, and stop the condensate pump. 

13. When the vacuum of condenser reduces to 0.04 ~ 0.03 MPa (300 ~ 225 MMHG), and the rotating speed drops to 500 r/min, the steam to the shaft sealing shall be stopped. 

14. After the rotor is completely still, the turning gear shall be used immediately and the idle time shall be recorded. 

15. When the oil temperature of the oil cooler outlet drops to below 35 ℃,  close the valve at water side of oil cooler. 

16. The electric oil pump is switched to operate until the turbine steam is cooled( the metal temperature of cylinder is below 150 ℃). 

17. Close all the valves on the steam pipes and open the directly draining valves. The  phenomenon that steam and water from thermal system leak to the cylinder is not allowed. 

18. When the temperature of rear cylinder is not more than 50 ℃, the circulating water pump shall be stopped.
