1.Pre-backwash
Open the backwash inlet valve and backwash drain valve of the multi-media filter to be backwashed, start the backwash pump, control the backwash strength to that anthracite fluctuates  in the center of upper slight glass or upper position, but big particle size of filter materials shall not come out. The backwash time shall be 10 minutes, when time is up, stop the backwash pump and close the backwash inlet valve.
2.Drainage
The wash drainage valve shall be fully opened to drain water to the center of the first sight glass, and close the wash drainage valve.(about 5 minutes)
3. Air scrubbing
Open the air admission valve to start the compressed air for air scrubbing for 3 minutes, when time is up, stop the compressed air and close the air admission valve.
4.Backwash
Open the backwash inlet valve to start the backwash pump for 20 minutes approximately. The backwash strength is the same with that mentioned above. When time is up, stop the backwash pump, and stop the backwash drain valve and backwash inlet valve.
5.Wash
 Start one clean water pump, open the drain valve and inlet valve after water comes out from the drain valve, open the wash drain valve and close the vent valve. Control the wash flow in the operating flow range. After the wash for Multi-media Filter is qualified, stop the clean water pump, close the water inlet valve and the wash drain valve, open the air damper to release the pressure for standby.
