Measurement of Total Sulfur in Coal

1. Testing procedures:
(1)Remove the dust cover of the various components, turn on the host computer of high temperature furnace, and the computer power source, to make them testing and control program, and then turn on the power switch of high temperature furnace.
(2) Open the air pump to pump the electrolyte into the electrolytic cell, adjust the knob of the flow meter to flow of ≥ 1000 ml/min.
(3) Prepare two waste samples and part of the samples. During weighing, try to make the samples weight about 50 mg and try to evenly flat the coal samples on the porcelain boat, add tungsten trioxide to make it evenly cover  on the coal sample for a thin layer.
(4)When the furnace temperature rises to 1150 ℃, put the coal sample in a quartz boat, choose " Working Test" option,  press the Enter key to confirm, input weight, moisture, etc.
(5)If the weight and moisture are input mistakenly, they can be modified after the test is finished.
(6) After the test is finished, discharge the electrolyte before turning off the machine. Put the electrolyte into the dark brown glass bottle for light-proof and sealed storage. Then use distilled water to clean the electrolytic pool.
2. Precautions
(1) Porcelain boat shall be cleared before sampling.
(2) The electrolyte shall be replaced periodically, the general cycle is about 200 experiment.  Generally the alcohol cotton prep pad is used to wipe the dirt on the platinum electrode, and the distilled water is used to clean the electrolytic cell and the pole piece, etc.
(3)The filter absorbent cotton wool and and-core hopper of the electrolytic cell shall be replaced ore cleaned on a regular basis.
(4) When the color silica gel colors by 70%, it should be replaced.
(5) Check the filters, electrolytic cell and purge line for leakage.(zjl)
