Impact of Excessive Dealy Degree of Speed Regulating System of Steam Turbin

1. The excessive slowing degree has impact as follows:

(1) When the steam turbines are in no-load, due to the excessive dealy rate of the speed regulating system, the rotating speed of the steam turbines will not be stable, thus the paralleling is difficult.

(2) After the steam turbine is interconnected with power grid, due to the excessive delay rate, the load will swing.

(3) When the grid system fails, the steam turbine load will be suddenly relected to zero, at this moment the delay rate of the speed regualting system is excessive, making the speed regulating valve not immediately cut off the steam, so the rotating speed of the steam turbine suddenly rises, thus making the emergency protector act. At this moment if the emergency protector rejects to act, then the risk of over speed galloping will possible occur.

2. Therefore, the delay rate of the speed regulating ystem shall be reduced to the minimal degree, it is preferably 0.2 ~ 0.4%, the maximum shall not exceed 0.5%. For the newly installed unit, the delay rate shall not be greater than 0.2%.
