The oil will leak to the motor along the clearance of the axis or the bottom of the generator end cover, and seep into the generator coil insulation, so that the insulation values decrease, in serious condition, the coil breakdown accident will happen. Oil and ash are combined into sludge, which will plug the vent on the generator rotor and cause the rotor is locally fever. The sludge attached to the air cooler tubes surface will reduce the cooling effect of air cooler. Oil leakage along the axis to the generator and exciter slip ring, will be easy to produce a spark that will become fire and cause a fire in serious condition. The oil will immerse into the insulation pad under the bearing seat, causing poor insulation, to produce shaft current and to damage to the bearings and worm wheel. The oil leakage to the exhaust cylinder will attach to the condenser copper pipe surface; or will enter into the system with condensate, thus attaching to inside of copper tubes of each heater or enter into boiler and attach to the heating surface; so the efficiency of heat transferring efficiency is reduced. The oil leakage to the steam control valve or valve stem of the automatic main steam valve will generate carbon scale after being heat, so that the steam stem acting is jammed.oil leakage to each external part of the speed control system and protection device will combine with dust together, which increases the resistance during acting. Oil leakage to the cable will make the cable insulation damage and short circuit, may cause the false action of protection, no action or other electrical fault. A large number of turbine oil is lost. A large amount of oil will cause oil pressure drop, forcing emergency stop of the unit. Oil leakage will make oil fouling generate , which increases the cleaning work of the operators.(js)
