1. System scaling:
The conductivity rises, showing that the salt content is increased. The devices of the system are operating under the high-load and the heat-exchanger temperature is high, so the calcium and magnesium ions in the water may generate carbonate scales,which will deposit on the heat-exchanger, thus causing the coefficient of heat transfer of the heat-exchanger lower and affecting the heat-exchanging effect, and causing tube explosion in severe circumstances.
2. Pollution of water quality:
If the conductivity rises due to the leakage of NH3 etc., two kinds of damage will generate:
(1)NH3 is able to react with the copper accessories of the heat-exchanger and will corrode.
(2)Under the nitrobacteria, NH3 will generate HNO3 or HNO2, at this moment, the Chlorine series bactericide will lose the function of bactericidal effect, so that the chemical oxygen consumption in the circulating water will increase, and the turbidity of the water will rise and the water becomes dark and the slime content in the system is increased,
3. Economic loss caused:
When the conductivity of the circulating water is over high, in order to prevent its harm, large amount sewage shall be discharged, at the same time large amount of water shall be supplemented and the reagent shall be added, so not only water resources will be wasted, but also a certain economic loss will produce.
