The low-voltage apparatus refers to electric appliances working with circuit of AC below 1000V and DC 1200V and below usually. 

They can be classified according to the status function and motion mode in electrical circuit . They can be classified according to the status and function in electrical circuit as below: 

The low-voltage distributing apparatus: such as knife switch, fuse protector, change-over switch, automatic switch and so on, which are mainly used in low-voltage power distribution system and power equipment. 

The low-voltage control circuit apparatus: such as  contactor, control relay, starter, controller, mater control electrical appliance, resistor, rheostat, electromagnet and so on, which are mainly used in electric traction and automatic control system. 

They are classified as per the action mode of low-voltage electric appliance: 

Non-automatic switchover electric appliance: such as  knife switch, change-over switch the master control electrical appliance and so on, which depend on external force to switch.

Automatic switchover electrical equipment: such as  automatic switch, contactor and control relay, etc., which depend on their own parametric changing or external signal to automatically switch.
