Calibration of Instrument with Calibration Hand Shank

Calibration by the calibration hand shank (applicable for the calibration under daily situation)

In order to facilitate the user to operate and avoid the complex program for preparing the standard chromogenic solution, this instrument is equipped with hand shank for calibration. The instrument is calibrated by pushing in/out the calibration hand shank, which is very convenient and practical.

The operating steps are as follows:

1. In the main menu, press C key to move the cursor to “Setting”, and press key E key to enter into “Setting”. Press C key repeatedly to move the cursor to “Calibration”. Press E key to enter into “Calibration”, and press E key again to move the cursor to the right side of “Mark I”. Use C key to move the cursor, and use D key to amend number and input the superscript value of instrument.

2. Pour high pure water full of the colorimetric pool, and pull out the hand shank for calibration (to the end). Press E key after being stable for several seconds, the sampling symbol will appear on the bottom of the screen, and it will become pollution discharge symbol after 25 seconds. The pollution discharge symbol disappears after about 16 seconds, and the calibration of Mark I will be finished. (In calibration, the cursor is located at any numerical digit of the value of Mark I).

3. Pour high pure water full of the colorimetric pool again, and push in the hand shank for calibration (to the end). Press C key repeatedly to move the cursor to the left side of “Mark II”, and press E key to move the cursor to the right side of “Mark II”. Use C key to move the cursor, and use D key to amend the figure and input the subscript value of instrument. After being stable for several seconds, press E key, the sampling symbol will appear at bottom of the screen, and it will become pollution discharge symbol after 25 seconds. The pollution discharge symbol will disappear after about 10 seconds, and the calibration of Mark II is finished. (In calibration, the cursor can be located in any numerical digit of the value of Mark II.)

4. Press C key repeatedly, and move the cursor to return. Press E key to return to the main menu. At this moment, the cursor is located on the left of “Operation”. Press E key to enter into the menu of “Operation”. Pour high pure water full of the colorimetric pool, and press C key repeatedly to make the word Washing shown at the left bottom of screen. Then pull out the hand shank for calibration, and observe whether the calibration of superscript value is correct; push in the hand shank for calibration, and observe whether the calibration of subscript value is correct. If the shown value is greatly different from the calibration value (>±0.1mg/L), it shall be calibrated again; If both of them are approximate, press E key to empty the water in the colorimetric pool, and normal measurement can be carried out immediately.

5. After finishing the above steps, namely, the values of Mark I and Mark II has been  calibrated by the calibration hand shank, measure various chromogenic solutions once again in accordance with the concentration from low to high. Every kind of chromogenic solution is poured twice repeatedly. Observe whether the displayed value is in good linear relation or not.
